This great Keith Penis Drawing is drawn with black sharpie over a small Andy Warhol ‘Flowers’ stamp or stub. The stamp itself reads "The Estate and Foundation of Andy Warhol" and is dry-mounted on museum board which has preserved it perfectly. A great piece that combines two of the greatest Pop artists. As Haring rarely drew explicit images, this is much rarer than most. An intimate piece of Pop history. Keith Haring uses bold lines, vivid colors and figures to create a visual language that expresses strong messages of life, unity, love, sex and war. Haring first achieved public attention with his chalk drawings in the subways of New York City. At age 19 Haring moved to New York to study at the School of Visual Arts. In 1989, the artist established the Keith Haring Foundation which provides funding to AIDS organizations and children’s programs. Haring died in 1990 at the age of 31.
