This very impressive print by Damien Hirst forms part of his famous Butterfly's series "The souls on Jacob's ladder take their flight". Hirst takes all signs of life from his butterfly and has it, instead, looking like a piece from a collection in a wunderkammer. Like skulls and dots, butterflies have become a new trade mark motif for the artist.
